These exposures can lead to a variety of mental health issues, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, panic attacks, and alcohol or drug misuse. Although our profession excels at providing those who grieve with space to feel, we don’t often provide the same grace to ourselves. With terms like burnout and compassion fatigue, we are able to name the problems - but when do we give ourselves permission to actually experience our feelings? Jennifer Muldowney will facilitate a discussion about the sense of guilt or shame around mental health in the funeral profession. 14.00: GLYN TALLON - TALLON MORTUARY SPECIALISTS TECHNIQUES IN RESTORATIVE ARTS AND RE-CONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY How to transform a non-viewable deceased into a viewable deceased, in today's world.
